Dr. Gerald Hoch
Dr. Gerald Hoch was born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey. He received his undergraduate education at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He graduated New York University (NYU) Dental School with high distinction and went on to complete his orthodontic residency there as well. At NYU, he was elected to OKU, the Dental Honors Fraternity. Dr. Gerald has been teaching at NYU since 2007 as a post-graduate orthodontic attending.
Prior to starting his orthodontics practice, Dr. Hoch served in the Army Dental Corp. The first year being stationed at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Ga. The second year he was stationed in Vietnam.
Dr. Hoch opened the doors to his orthodontic practice in 1973 with an office in Jackson, New Jersey. Two years later, he opened a second office in Matawan. His son, Dr. Andrew Hoch, joined the practice in 2005.
Dr. Andrew Hoch
Dr. Andrew Hoch was born and raised in Holmdel, New Jersey. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and went on to attend dental school at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine.
At the University of Pennsylvania Dr. Hoch completed a one-year long Advanced Education in General Dentistry program before finishing a three-year postgraduate orthodontic residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York. Dr. Hoch excelled in his residency, earning the distinction of Chief Resident in his final year.
Dr. Andrew Hoch has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics since 2007 – the highest honor awarded in the field, by the only specialty licensing board that is recognized by both the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
